Rectangular table top. "Bird and butterfly". Marbles and hard stones. Panel decorated with a central motif of a perched bird and butterfly surrounded by a shield with scrolls and branches, highlighted by a frame with scrollwork, venerated shapes in the corners, lacework, little flowers and fruits. Both stylistically and technically, it draws its inspiration from examples made in Italy following the development of hard stone inlay in the 16th century, which spread throughout Europe for its value.
