Decoration - Marble Sculptures
Reference: M611E

Bust in carved marbles. "Roman Emperor".
The face of the man dressed in thoracata armor shows a marked idealization, extracted from Roman models related to Greek Hellenism, which does not allow to identify it but to relate the work with portraits such as those of Marco Aurelio (121-180 AD) or Comfortable (161-192 AD). The play of materials of the present sculpture was a technique that spread from Renaissance Italy to the rest of Europe, following models of Antiquity."
