Spanish table with lyre leg and iron fasteners, 18th century. The two lyre legs that support the work have wavy lines in the lower area and shapes on the sides that are reminiscent of French cabriolets. Both are joined with an iron fastener and support a single piece board with carved edges. This type of legs, called lyre legs due to their similarity to the musical instrument, were widely used in the Renaissance, continuing to be used later due to the movement that their curved profiles provided to the furniture.
