Mortar. Patinated bronze. XVII century. Patinated bronze mortar with a vented mouth, a throne-like conical body and a base enhanced with moldings that have a decoration of facing balusters. These balusters in relief reflect a clear influence of baroque models (heir, in turn, to the medieval ribs). Compare the present example with one preserved in the Museo del Greco (Toledo, Spain), similar in form and decoration. Weight; 4.9 kg.
