Typologically, it is a spice rack belonging to a somewhat peculiar tradition or model, common in Córdoba and Madrid but also present in Gerona, Antequera, etc. The contrast marks place its creation in 1768, in Madrid, and by the hand of a silversmith named Lizasoaín. Although three teachers are known with this surname, the most prominent in his time, both for his work and for his contemporaries, was Miguel Antonio Lizasoaín, a Navarrese active between 1735 and 1779, the year of his death, in the Spanish capital. .
