Mortar with handles. Bronze. 16th century. A bronze mortar with a tubular or cylindrical shape and a curved moulded mouth, featuring two right-angled handles and relief decoration on the outside flanked by two pairs of fine, striped mouldings, composed of balustraded shapes (derived from the ribs that such pieces often had in the Spanish school during the Gothic period) and anthropomorphic figures interspersed with them.
