LOUIS XIV BUST. MARBLE. 20TH CENTURY.

Decoration - Marble Sculptures
Reference: MS308

Marble bust “Louis XIV”. Veined marble. Twentieth century. Bust of a marble knight, dressed in armor and wearing a long curly wig. The idealization, his clothing and the posture refer to examples of busts made around the court of Louis XIV (1710-1774) by artists such as Antoine Coysevox, Jean-Antoine Houdon, Warin, etc. Although the artist's mastery reflects a certain degree of individuality in the face, it is not possible to identify it due to the lack of elements that allow it, an intentional detail that does not detract from the work.
