Walnut wood chest with wrought iron fittings. Baroque, 17th century. Rectangular chest with a flat top with reinforcing hardware on the sides and bottom area and key closure, located on legs made of mixtilinear profiles. The lock shield shows shapes that correspond to what was done in the Baroque, while the ark typology was already used in Gothic and later examples, in addition to showing a cross. This type of furniture was used to store all types of valuable objects, from brocade or embroidered cloths to books and quality tableware, both in civil and religious settings.
