ORNAMENTAL MIRROR WITH CREST, 18TH CENTURY.

Reference: Z5301

Cornucopia with prominent carved and gilded wood crest, 18th century. Cornucopia with a rectangular mirror on the inside, decorated in its frame with simple moldings (some concave, some straight and some convex) without exaggerated movement and, on the outside, some light flower garlands. The upper crest stands out, very prominent, formed by seed beads, curved moldings, flowers and a vase. This work is of great interest because, while the simple lines to which we have referred respond more to models that follow the Neoclassical style, other elements (rockets, concave and convex moldings, movement, decorative exuberance...) respond to the Rococo style. . In the 18th century in Spain, both artistic styles coexisted. Requires cleaning and light restorations
