Pair of chimney andirons. Iron. XIX century. Pair of andirons for fireplace made of iron formed by a horizontal piece to place under the firewood and another decorative part at the front (this one composed of a rectangular plate finished in two facing volutes and another vertical piece that resembles a column and ends in a disk flat). Although there are elements such as volutes that already appear in Romanesque forging, the lines of the andirons are more reminiscent of Neoclassical examples in some details. · Size: 32x80x70 cms.
