Bronze figure placed on a circular base that shows a child dressed in a humble manner, holding a teapot and raising his hand towards his mouth in a gesture of shouting or proclaiming his “merchandise” or services. The piece is reminiscent of European works (France, Vienna...) from towards the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century both in the material chosen and in the theme of the sculpture, its size, its composition, its detail, etc. The inscription on the base (P. Dubois) refers to the sculptor Paul Dubois (France, 1829-1905), whose works would inspire the present sculpture (especially one in particular, very similar to this one).
