Pair of glazed porcelain figurines. “Children with Flowers”. Inspired by porcelain models from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres. Each figure stands on its own base, and both children are dressed in matching colors to unify the piece. Flowers add precise touches of color. The delicate gestures, the high quality of the glazing, and the subject matter connect the pair to European porcelain works of the late 18th century. While the theme was popular in all major factories, this particular work draws inspiration from French examples from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres.
