Tall, double-bowl fountain. Carved marble. A fluted circular base rests on a pedestal, supporting the fountain's larger basin, which, like the smaller one, is decorated with simplified volutes. Between them, a vase features a shell-shaped lower half and a smooth upper half. The upper finial displays a large, fluted pearl. While fountains are a feature already found in Babylonian gardens, this particular work is more closely related to Baroque models in its structure and to more contemporary styles in its lines.
