Bed with bronze accents At the foot of the bed are a series of bronze appliqués formed by vegetal scrolls, garlands, and egg-and-dart moldings. The headboard is topped with a basket of flowers flanked by two putti. The four posts are crowned with vases of flowers. All these elements are of classical inspiration and contrast with the dynamic lines of the footboard and headboard. This combination is characteristic of 19th-century furniture and, due to its popularity, continued to be used afterward.
