WOODEN BED WITH GILT BRONZE.

Bed with bronze applications At the foot of the bed there are a series of bronze applications formed from vegetal scrolls, garlands and egg moldings. The headboard has been finished with a basket of flowers flanked by two putti. The four posts have been topped with vases of flowers. All these elements are classically inspired, and contrast with the movement of the profiles of the feet and the headboard. This mixture is characteristic of 19th century furniture, and, due to its success, it was maintained later.
