Lock with ironwork cut out in the shape of scrolls and openwork vase-shaped forms, with hinged fittings for closing (decorated with simple geometric elements and a part in the shape of an animal) and decorated key. Stylistically, the piece responds to common models in Baroque Spain, although the figurative part mentioned above is also reminiscent of earlier traditions.

Lock of the type usually used for Spanish-style writing desks or wastepaper baskets, consisting of a plate decorated with architectural elements and cut-out scrolls and two protruding pieces in the shape of columns, and another series of pieces that complete it, always following a certain classical inspiration that was common in the Spanish Baroque.

Pair of locks with key. Iron. Spain, 17th century. Pair of locks with keys made of iron in their colour, which also have a lock shield decorated with cut-out fleur-de-lis elements. The keys have minimal decoration, typical of this type of antique object. The locks have a box from which the door lock protrudes on one side and in which there are a series of holes to attach it to the door. The decoration and shape of the pair links it with works of the Spanish Baroque.
