Empire style console table base. Resin. The figure stands on a rectangular base with fine moldings. A claw gives way to an oval shape from which two wings emerge, their tips curled forward (with lines reminiscent of Persian art), and a leonine head (protruding tongue, snout, mane) topped with a floral motif. Both in its subject matter and lines, the piece shows a certain influence from French works of the Empire style and period.
