Bedside table. Carved and turned wood. A bedside table with a slightly projecting, straight rectangular top and highly decorated legs featuring elaborate turned double spirals, Solomonic shapes, and rectangular blocks. It has two drawers at the front, decorated with a delicate relief of plant motifs flanking plain oval mirrors with a clear classical influence. The piece's blend of influences is reminiscent, in some details, of 19th-century European and particularly Portuguese works.
