Oriental door. Carved wood, bronze nails. 19th century. The double door features a frame enhanced by carved moldings towards the edge (the lower sides are reminiscent of Indian column bases). The upper section is decorated with a cross carved from triangles and fan-shaped motifs on either side. The doors are adorned with carvings of strong European influence and feature decorative and functional bronze fittings or studs.
