Frame with Pietà. Polychrome wood, engraving. 18th and 19th centuries. They have faults. Rectangular frame made of polychrome wood, decorated with gilded floral elements and two red lines on a green background. It also features straight flares at the corners, reminiscent of architectural models common in the Spanish Baroque period. It has a metal ring on the back for hanging on the wall. It features an engraving of a Pietà under the title Our Lady of the Way, produced by the workshop of L. Lacau of Burgos, Spain, as indicated just below the image. This lithographic and printing workshop was active in that city around the mid-19th century.
