Pair of porcelain figurines. “Young couple with baskets.” Inspired by models from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres (France). The bases of the figures have legs made with stylized plant motifs and flowers in relief. These, together with the clothing of the young people, highly idealized, and the theme of the work relate it to the main European porcelain factories of the 18th century. However, due to the great popularity of these sculptures and their quality, they continued to be created throughout the following century. The present examples show many points in common with cobras from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres (France).
