Carved and gilded wooden niche, Rococo style, 18th century. The niche consists of a back panel decorated with molding and a support for a sculpture adorned with a grotesque mask and vegetal motifs, topped by a broken pediment with a central motif carved at its base resembling a cloth. Engraved cornucopias and leaves appear throughout the back panel. The piece may have originally formed part of an altarpiece or, as it has been preserved, could have been created for a private chapel.
