“Rural Scene.” Oil on canvas. Signed (lower left corner). LÓPEZ MURIAS, Isidro (Tetouan, Morocco, 1939). Isidro López Murias trained at the School of Arts and Crafts in Palencia and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid, earning his first distinctions in 1953 and 1954. He has exhibited his work in Pamplona, Palencia, Santander, Burgos, Valladolid, Madrid, Ávila, Segovia, Murcia, New York, Barcelona, Bilbao, San Sebastián, etc.; it can be found in numerous private collections (Spain, France, Italy, etc.) and in various institutions (Museum of Navarre, Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid, collection of the Parliament of Navarre, Rodríguez-Acosta Foundation in Granada, etc.).
