Venus and Mercury, relief. Molded alabaster. 20th century, Inspired by the model of SPRANGER, Bartholomäus (1546-1611). Panel with figurative relief and a fine frame around it made of marble powder with polychrome that presents a mythological theme. Venus, standing, appears accompanied by a child figure and her son Cupid, to the left, Mercury appears, with his usual headdress and the caduceus in one hand. The piece is inspired by a painting by Bartholomäus Spranger made around 1585 that is kept in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Weight: 5kg.
