Venus and Mercury, relief. Cast alabaster. 20th century, inspired by the model of Spranger, Bartholomäus (1546-1611). A panel with a figurative relief and a thin frame made of polychrome marble dust depicting a mythological subject. Venus, standing, is accompanied by a child and her son Cupid. To the left is Mercury, wearing his customary headdress and holding the caduceus. The piece is inspired by a painting by Bartholomäus Spranger from around 1585, now in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Weight: 5 kg.
