Lectern. Wrought iron. Baluster 17th century; remainder 20th century. A wrought iron lectern with three twisted, S-shaped legs, each with a central disc, a balustraded base with distinct sections, and a top section of straight bands. This central axis comprises different sections (Solomonic and balustraded, joined by a disc and other moldings), and its lines are characteristic of ironwork from the period (compare, for example, with the Choir Screen of Valladolid Cathedral, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and note the differences). Weight: 22 kg.
