Liquor decanter or bottle, Rhinoceros. Glass. Nachtmann, Germany, 20th century. A glass decanter or bottle with a stopper shaped like a rhinoceros horn and decorated with black rhinoceroses on top. It belongs to the Safari series. Nachtmann (FX Nachtmann Bleikristallwerke GmbH) is a fine glass manufacturer that is still active and was founded in 1834 by Michael Nachtmann in Unterhütte, Upper Palatinate (Bavaria, Germany). In 2004, it was acquired by Riedel, which has continued to operate the company and use the name.
