Jar with handles. Ceramic. 18th century. A large earthenware jar with two flat, wide handles and a wide mouth, decorated with a series of horizontally arranged relief bands, made of unglazed fired ceramic. Both the material and its decoration reflect common models in what is known as "folk" art, as it was created for use in rural areas, while still maintaining a clear taste for decoration.
