Siphon; Brasserie Flad, Albi. Metal, glass. France, circa 1920. It shows damage. Siphon with a silver-finished metal head engraved with (L. Perrot & Charpentier/ Chateaumeillant) and a clear glass body engraved with (Brasserie L. Flad /Albi), referencing the establishment of Léopold Flad, founded in the French city of Albi in 1822 (and which closed in 1964). This type of container for water or carbonated beverages was very popular towards the middle of the 20th century, and earlier, in line with the popularity of soft drinks.
