Devotional plaque, Virgin of Montserrat and the Mountain. Bronze. Spanish School, 19th century. Devotional plaque made of bronze, rectangular in shape, with a washer at the top and a molded frame highlighting a figurative relief composition. It depicts the Virgin and Child seated on a throne, with a mountainous background. This is a particular iconography of the Virgin of Montserrat with the mountain (compare it to the bronze of the same subject made in the second half of the 18th century, now in the Diocesan Museum of Barcelona). Weight: 232 grams.
