Reference: ZF1282
Plate, iron red and gold. Glazed porcelain. China, Qing Dynasty, first half of the 18th century. It shows signs of restoration and damage. Circular tray with a central umbo, made of white porcelain with red and gold iron decorations featuring vegetal and geometric motifs of oriental inspiration. The decoration is distributed between the rim and the umbo, with five symmetrical vegetal compositions between them. Some of its decorative elements are very similar to those of the porcelain of the East India Company, brought from China. The most striking feature is the pronounced central umbo, common in works of Hispano-Muslim influence in the Iberian Peninsula but not in European porcelain.
