Pair of wrought iron handles, each made up of several pieces: two that act as nails to fix it to the wall or piece of furniture, a plate with cut profiles with fleur-de-lis-shaped ends and the two handles themselves, decorated with a disc and mouldings.

Two parasols. Wood, metal, textile, etc. Europe, early 20th century. One has a printed textile on a light background and a light wooden handle finished with a silver metal knob shaped like a walking stick and decorated with flowers. The hallmarks on it identify it as being made of “nickel silver” or “German silver” (an alloy of zinc, copper and nickel also called alpaca). The other umbrella, with brown textile and a possibly wooden handle, and a spherical knob with flowers and spirals that is possibly silver in colour (it has no hallmarks).

Pair of framed prints, “Montpelier” and “Raglan Castle”. Engraving by TINGLE, James; after works by GASTINEAU, Henry. Possibly first half of the 19th century. Pair of framed prints identified by a series of texts that appear under the landscapes shown. The one entitled “Raglan Castle” is indicated as an engraving by J. Tingle (name next to number 15), based on a drawing or work by H. Gastineau. Henry Gastineau (1791-1876) was a very prolific English painter and engraver, specialized in watercolours, trained at the Royal Academy in London. James Tingle (1790-1858/60) was an English engraver. The plate entitled “Montpelier” bears the same names (with the number 11 in this case).

Table lamp with child studying. A rectangular base with plant motifs resembles a desk for the sculpture of the child. The child is absorbed in the book he is reading and, given his attitude with his head in his hands, it can be deduced that he is concentrating on studying. Behind it, a rod emerges, which rises straight up to curve and place the light bulb just above the image.

The circular base has been worked into the shape of a rose with leaves, and from its centre there are three curved stems (between which other thinner stems with leaves have been arranged) that hold the three lampshades, made of cream-coloured glass with dark veins and which have been given the shape of a flower.

Trumpet. Brass wind instrument made of gold-plated metal alloy with three valves and a smooth bell. Although it is an old instrument, the first important changes occurred with the introduction of keys and holes in the 18th century and the first pistons at the end of this century. The third piston was added in 1830. Element of decorative use.

Bronze sculpture “Deer”. Lost wax casting. The animal is positioned with one of its front legs slightly raised and its head and ears raised upwards. Although deer are a very common animal in small-scale bronze sculptures since the Renaissance, its naturalistic treatment and the prominence given to it in this work brings it closer to contemporary approaches. Handmade basket. Vegetable fibre and lacquered wood. China, early 20th century. A flattened ovoid Chinese basket that combines meticulous and complex basketwork on the body with a lid, mouthpieces, handles and foot in lacquered wood. The tondo that tops the lid depicts a figurative scene in a style derived from contemporary ink painting, with precise golden brushstrokes on a black background, red details and the face highlighted in a soft ochre tone. It depicts a richly dressed lady in a landscape setting, sitting in front of a stream from which she collects a veil.

“Le Harle”. Framed colour engraving. Wood, paper, etc. 19th century. Coloured engraving of a bird perched on a coastal background with a fortification in the background, inspired by common works from the 18th century, usually made with the intention of illustrating a scientific book but also devoting the attention that a work of art deserves. The French name “harle” refers to a group of species from the Anatidae family.
