Bronze sculpture. "Heron". Lost wax casting. Marble Base The heron is placed in the usual position chosen for these animals: with its wings slightly open, walking, and its head up. The depiction of animals in small bronze sculptures became a full-fledged genre in France in the 19th century, from where the fashion spread. Whether domestic or wild, exotic or European, they stood out for their realism, and the work belongs to this tradition.

Patinated bronze candlestick. The circular base rises to meet the base of the axis and has been decorated with flowers, which are repeated throughout the rest of the candlestick. The barrel has grooves that turn into leaves towards the top, and the candle is held in a small vase that has a flat container to collect the wax drips. In addition to the patina, which resembles ceramic, the decorative elements stand out, some of classicist inspiration and others with a modernist air. Weight: 2590 grams

Pair of enameled porcelain figurines. "Children dancing". Inspired by antique European porcelain models. The two children dance on circular bases decorated in front with chains. The theme of dancing children was very common in European porcelain since the 18th century, and the present examples can be related to works created in prominent centers such as Meissen or Sèvres, for example.

Enameled porcelain figurine. “Fisherwoman.” Inspired by antique European porcelain models. The young woman stands on a stone base with flowers and plants, carrying a net on her shoulder, a basket in one hand, a jug in the other, and another basket hanging from the other shoulder. The figure is inspired by porcelain models from northern Europe, from centers such as the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres in France.

Toothpick holder. “Burrito with two baskets.” On a circular base decorated with classically inspired eggs stands the naturalistic figure of the donkey, with two baskets on its back, which are used to put the chopsticks. The combination of elements extracted from Neoclassicism along with more characteristic details of the Avant-garde (Realism, naturalism, a certain pictorial treatment of the animal, etc.) is striking.

Devotional plaque, Saint John the Baptist. Bronze. 19th-20th centuries. Rectangular devotional plaque on which the image of Saint John the Baptist is presented in relief, holding a book with the Lamb and a crosier topped with a cross, and accompanied by the legend, partially erased, “NON SV RE XIT MAIOR” (in reference to the text of Matthew alluding to Saint John, “non surrexit inter natos mulierum maior Ioanne Baptista”). This is a very common type of plaque since the 17th century in Spain (compare the two examples in the Lázaro Galdiano Museum in Madrid).

Candle holder, Zebras. Glass. Nachtmann, Germany, 20th century. Semi-circular candle holder with space for three light points, made of glass and decorated with parading zebras. It belongs to the Safari series. Natchmann (FX Nachtmann Bleikristallwerke GmbH) is a still active fine glassware factory founded in 1834 by Michael Nachtmann in Unterhütte, Oberpfalz (Bavaria, Germany). In 2004 it was absorbed by Riedel, who has continued with the firm and its name. Weight: 1.7kg.
