Engraved silver box, 20th century. A small, ornate silver box with a wide variety of motifs, all belonging to different artistic traditions based on Roman classicism. The lid features two musicians framed by a decoration of figures and vegetal and architectural elements. The front displays garlands of flowers and leaves and parchment shields. The base is adorned with scallop shells, flowers, and vegetal motifs. These types of pieces were used to store various objects and were usually carried on one's person or left on a dressing table, always belonging to people of importance due to the quality of the craftsmanship and the material from which they were made.
