Pair of chairs. Ebonized pear wood, textile. France, 19th century. Pair of carved, turned and ebonized pear wood chairs with high openwork backrests decorated with balustraded shapes. These lines are repeated on the legs (curved outwards), which have been secured with chambrances. The backrest and front of them have also been decorated with a series of simplified lines and plant elements, in accordance with the neoclassical taste.
