Pocket watch, Deroches Brothers. Gilt metal, enamels, etc. Possibly towards the end of the 18th century. Pocket watch with a case featuring a transparent glass section and an enameled composition on the back (two ladies, one of them playing a harp and holding a musical score on a music stand). The white dial displays Arabic numerals for the hours and vertical lines and Arabic numerals every 15 units for the minutes, along with the inscription “Deroches.” The movement is delicately decorated and engraved with a serial number and the name “Deroches.” Similar pocket watches signed by the Deroches Brothers are known from the second half of the 18th century, as well as examples from “Frères Deroches & Cìa.” from the 19th century.
