Devotional plaque, Saint Dominic of Guzman. Bronze. Spanish School, 17th century. A rectangular bronze devotional plaque with a ring at the top, a molded frame, and a relief sculpture on the front. It depicts a man in a habit, standing, holding a cross with a crucifix in one hand and what appears to be a book in the other, with a burst of glory in the upper left corner and other objects at the bottom. This is Saint Dominic of Guzmán, a Castilian priest and Catholic saint, founder of the Order of Preachers. Weight: 182 grams.
