Mortar with pestle. Bronze. 16th century. A mortar with a circular base, cylindrical body, and outward-curving mouth decorated with simple geometric ribs alternating with relief elements (heraldic lions) and two rings on the sides. The pestle is decorated with simple discs. Aesthetically, the piece follows common models in late medieval Spanish mortar production. Weight: 4100 grams.
