Friar's chair. Carved wood, textile. Spain, 20th century. Also called an "armchair," this type of seat was very common in Spain despite its Italian origins. The style was introduced in the 16th century and remained a staple of Spanish furniture for centuries, becoming truly popular in the 19th and 20th centuries when pieces influenced by past styles came into fashion. It features a backrest and seat upholstered in red fabric with studs, and carved decorations on the arms, backrest, waist, and stretchers. Landscape. Oil on canvas. DEL VAL TROUILLHET, Mercedes (Valladolid, 1926-2012). Signed (lower right area). Mercedes del Val Trouillhet was a painter from Valladolid who began her training at a very young age (her first lessons at seven, directed from Madrid by her teacher Timoteo Pérez Rubio). After the Spanish Civil War, she went on to study with the renowned draftsman and poster artist José Picó Mitjans (1904-1991). From the beginning of her career, she focused on landscapes, especially those of Castile, and exhibited her work in several shows (Valladolid in 1947, later Madrid, Córdoba, etc.). She also received several awards (Silver Medal at the 29th Autumn Salon in Madrid in 1957, etc.) and her paintings are held in various private collections and institutions such as the Museum of the University of Valladolid.

Mine or ship telephone, model HF, type ST-1. Second half of the 20th century. A telephone for use in mines or on ships, designed to be mounted on a wall or vertical surface. It consists of a metal box to protect the machinery and the handset, which attaches to one side of the box, with the cord or cable emerging from below (next to the line jack). On the other side is the crank, typical of this model. These telephones were made with specific materials and shapes, prioritizing utility and durability, but without neglecting an aesthetic appeal evident in the lines of the box, etc., which is still appreciated today.

Saint Thomas of Villanova. Painted glass. 18th century. It has faults. A stained-glass window with a simple wooden frame depicts Saint Thomas of Villanova (with his name written at the bottom). A saint of the Order of Saint Augustine, he became Archbishop of Valencia under duress from a superior, as he had always refused. Satsuma-style vase with a base in the shape of a Fu lion or Buddha (a mythical Buddhist animal that protects against evil spirits, negative energies, and malicious people), finished in a reddish tone with gold details.
