Louis XVI style chair in beech wood. The four column-shaped legs are joined by cubes with carved flowers at the waist of the chair, which has been decorated with a simple string of pearls. The backrest, straight and high, follows the typology known as “comb” and shows vegetal and architectural elements of classical inspiration, like the rest, since it is inspired by the French Louis XVI style. It is made of beech wood, highly valued in cabinetmaking for its hardness and characteristic color, which tends towards red with the passage of time. Various units available.

Made of carved and gilded wood, the table rests on eight stipes-shaped legs decorated with plant motifs and arranged on a dado; these are joined in the centre by curved frames with plant elements. The waist has, on each side, a central motif formed by a circle with a flower and plant motifs on the lower part that develop towards the sides of the same and extend visually over the entire side, decorated with architectural elements. The Louis XVI style, on which this table is based, is also known in France as “Style à la grecque” due to its inspiration in elements of Antiquity.

Louis XV style desk with “quill” marquetry. It rests on four cabriole legs with a notable curvature, decorated with a band of gilded metal along its entire profile and a lower finial in the shape of an animal paw, made with plant and rocaille motifs. The waist has three drawers in its front made of darker wood than the rest, which also has rectangles with a curved lower profile on the shorter sides; it is worth mentioning the curvatures of the lower part of this area. The upper board, highlighted by a metal band with mirrors in the corners, shows a central area with “quill” marquetry within a band with plant elements. Both decorative elements and the curves of lines and profiles are characteristic of the style known in France as Louis XV (Rococo), which inspired the desk.

Queen Anne dresser with mirror. The chest of drawers is supported by four legs and is framed by two columns on either side. It has three identical drawers below and three above (the two central ones joined together in a structure which, when opened, reveals a writing board). The style of furniture known as “Queen Anne” developed in England around the reign of the monarch of the same name (1720s to around 1760), and was characterised by a lack of decorative elements and an emphasis on the lines of the pieces. A number of characteristic elements of this style are still in use today.
