Elizabethan chairs in walnut wood. Spain, 19th century. Composed of a sofa, two armchairs and a wing chair. The wing chair has a high upholstered backrest, in slight contrast to the armchairs (formed from juxtaposed ovals), which also show curves. In all cases, simplicity and cabriolet legs stand out. The lines of the furniture and the small decorative details they present place its creation within the style known as Elizabethan because it peaked during the reign of Elizabeth II.

Mirror with angel heads. Carved and polychrome pine wood. Spanish school, 18th century. Rectangular panel of carved, polychrome and gilded pinto wood that presents two ovals framed with smooth moldings and finished, each, with a winged angel's head (another one is presented in the lower area). Each of these ovals has a mirror sheet. This type of work was usually done in Spanish art to form part of altarpieces or access to prominent chapels, placing either mirrors or glass painted with religious themes in each oval.

Provincial “Secretaire”. Cherry and pine wood, metal. Louis Philippe period, France, towards the second third of the 19th century. High cabinet made of cherry and pine wood with a table above that reveals a desk (five drawers and a space with a shelf), and two doors in the lower area of it. This is a French provincial work from the Louis Philippe period (Louis Philippe I of France, monarch between 1830 and 1848, reigned after the fall of Napoleon, supporting the bourgeoisie and allowing the country to enter the Industrial Revolution). Artistically, the style of the reign stood out for being a mixture of French Neoclassicism, with elements of Neo-Gothic and other styles; The present example, however, is a provincial piece, related to other traditions and production centers far from the Parisian court.

Friar armchair. Walnut wood, textile. Spain, 17th century. Armchair with arms and high back of the type known as “frailero” upholstered in red and yellow textile, with fringes on the seat and the lower part of the backrest. The friar armchair, initially of Italian origin, became one of the most common pieces of Spanish furniture since its introduction in the 16th century, being characteristic of this and the 17th century and being recovered again in the historicist current of the 19th century. Being a tradition so deeply rooted in Spain, these types of models have never stopped being created. Requires restoration.
