“Boy with Mandolin”. Bronze. Standing on a stepped circular base is the figure of a semi-nude boy, holding a piece of paper in one hand and extending the other in a singing gesture, his body moving in time with the movement. The expressiveness and detail of the piece demonstrate the quality of the sculpture. At the boy's feet is a musical score entitled "Improvisateur." Note the influence of well-known and highly regarded models, especially the works of Auguste Moreau. Weight 4 kg (France, 1834-1917).
