Bronze sculpture. “Water Carrier Boy”. Inspired by models by Auguste Moreau (1834-1917). Lost-wax casting. Stone base. Standing on a rock formation is the figure of a child, carrying a large jug balanced on his hip and holding the rope around its mouth. The work is inspired by that of Auguste Moreau, son of the painter Jean Baptiste Moreau, known for his pastoral scenes and allegories, and for his graceful, realistic style.
