Decorative Antiques -
Reference: Z1227C

Children and Bacchus. Biscuit porcelain. Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, 20th century. With marks on the base. The three child figures are placed on an oval base, one reclining, another sitting and the third standing. The grapes, clusters, leaves and glass they present link the piece with a Bacchic scene and with the Roman god associated with wine. It was a very popular theme already in 19th century porcelain, to the point that several pieces similar to the present model are known, preserved in private collections.
