Pair of butts in gilded bronze and iron. France, nineteenth century.
The area closest to the fire has been left undecorated. The front has two cupids with butterfly wings, a usual detail in the nineteenth century, as are the ova, shields and plant elements that complete the figures. The forms inspired by classicism are typical of Neoclassicism and all decorative styles of the nineteenth century."
