Easel stand, 19th century. A magnificent carved wooden easel, decorated at the top with a crest of vegetal motifs framed by a curved pediment and simple motifs on the sides. The canvas or paper is supported by a horizontal crossbar and two moldings with vegetal motifs, which also feature vegetal decorations, as does the molding located in this area. The legs display ornamentation of the same type, but much flatter. In the 19th century, the mixture of styles seen in this piece was very common: the upper section is reminiscent of Rococo works, while the sides are more closely related to the Renaissance.
