Allegory of Air. Glazed porcelain. Hispania Porcelain, Spain, 20th century. A glazed porcelain figurine with touches of gold depicts a semi-nude boy with an antique-style hot air balloon and bellows, seated on a distinctly Rococo base inscribed with the word "Air," alluding to the allegory the piece represents. This type of work draws inspiration from renowned European factories. The factory known as Porcelana Hispania produced a series of high-quality pieces in this same style (animals, Rococo-influenced couples, etc.).
