In two volumes, The Disinherited. Misadventures of Life. FERNÁNDEZ Y GONZÁLEZ, Manuel. Manini Brothers Printing and Literary Establishment, Publishers, Madrid, 1865 (vol. 1) and 1866 (vol. 2). They show signs of damage. A novel bound in two volumes by Manuel Fernández y González (Seville, 1821–Madrid, 1888), a well-known and highly regarded Spanish writer, primarily known for his serialized novels, though he also worked as a theater critic. Experts attribute to him between 170 and 200 novels, some 30 plays, theater criticism, poetry in the style of José Zorrilla, and a few dramas. With this novel, he paid tribute to costumbrismo (the genre of local customs and traditions).
