Devotional plaque, Immaculate Conception. Bronze. Spanish school, 19th century. Bronze devotional plate with a washer at the top and a rectangular shape that presents a relief on the front. In this you can see the Virgin Mary on a crescent moon, surrounded by light and joining her hands in a gesture of prayer, and with the Franciscan cord (eight knots) around it, linking this medal to the Franciscan Order. Four winged heads of angels appear in the corners. It is a frequent iconography and representation on devotional plaques and medals since the Baroque (similar examples are preserved by institutions such as the Lázaro Galdiano Museum, etc.). Weight: 191 grams.
