Angel, archangel or saint, on a base. Carved and polychrome wood, textile, etc. Spanish school, 17th century. It has defects. A sculpture made of carved, polychromed, and gilded wood depicting a young male figure dressed in armor with a classical feel, which also features a jewel (or remnants of one) on the chest. The drapery, which shows traces of gilding, is draped in a slight movement. Iconographically, the absence of attributes makes clear identification impossible, although comparing the pose and the armor suggests it could be a carving of Saint Michael the Archangel (note the two hollows in the back, where the wings would have been).
