Rattle or bell with Immaculate Conception. Silver (.915). Spanish School, 20th century. It has minor flaws. With contrasting marks. A silver pendant in its natural color, featuring chains composed of complex links alternating with smaller ones. It comprises two prominent pieces: a small one with vegetal motifs surrounding an angel, and a much larger one depicting the Immaculate Conception (on a sunburst, with a halo), surrounded by a vegetal composition from which bells hang, and featuring two angels mounted on birds. This type of votive offering or devotional ornament was common in the Spanish school, and this example is inspired by 18th-century models. The hallmarks (on the breast of one of the birds) indicate that it is a Spanish piece from the first half of the 20th century, but the silversmith cannot be identified.
