The vase displays marked influences from classical antiquity, both in its lines and its decoration, which features vegetal scrolls, garlands, strings of pearls, and other motifs. Two scenes are hand-painted on the front: a Toilette and a couple in love, both set in idealized landscapes. Flowerpot on a pedestal. Porcelain. The circular planter features a wavy, gilded rim and a painted garland and scene on each side: both are idealized bucolic landscapes with a series of classically inspired figures.
